Join TX Soil Sisters at the upcoming Southern Family Farmers and Food Systems conference on August 4th and 5th in San Marcos on the campus of Texas State University. This year marks the 19th annual gathering of growers, producers, local food advocates, and small farm supporters from all walks of life. With programming that covers regenerative farming methods, federal policy, business skills, and financial literacy, the Southern Family Farmers and Food Systems Conference aims to uplift our community of producers and advocates, and foster shared success.
Did you know that over 17,700 farms were lost in Texas in just five years? Most of these were small-scale, family-run operations. Protecting the farmers we have left and supporting the next generation of farmers and ranchers is at the heart of this event and our mission as TX Soil Sisters. We’ll be recording our podcast live from the event amplifying the voices of Texans leading the regenerative ag movement.
