Nate Sheets’ Vision for Texas Agriculture and bid for Ag Commissioner

Hi, y’all! Johanna here from the TX Soil Sisters.

(The podcast media player is below w/ links to things we talk about. Or listen here.)

In this episode of the Soil Sisters Podcast, recorded on January 23, 2025, you’ll hear Nate Sheets' vision for Texas agriculture.

Nate Sheets is a born and raised Texan and food and agriculture entrepreneur and former CEO of Nature Nate’s. He grew his little honey startup into the nation’s leading branded honey company.

Nate pioneered the raw and unfiltered honey segment and set new industry standards by testing honey for pesticides, herbicides, and adulteration—long before it was common practice.

Known for personally engaging consumers, he kept his cell phone number on every bottle and lived by a simple principle: if he wouldn’t put it on his own table, he wouldn’t put it on yours.

Now Nate Sheets is running for Agriculture Commissioner to work with us to repair an unsustainable food system in Texas.
