Saving Texas Prairies and Grasslands
In this episode of Soil Sisters, we discuss protecting and restoring Texas prairies and grasslands with Andy Olson, stewardship specialist with the Native Prairies Association of Texas (NPAT). Prairies are complex ecosystems that support wildlife, pollinators, healthy soils, water infiltration, and biodiversity. Yet much of Texas's native prairie has disappeared. Whether you're a farmer, rancher, landowner, gardener, or simply someone who cares about the natural world, there is a role for you in rebuilding healthy grassland ecosystems.
