KEEPING LAND IN THE FAMILY: Conservation Easements, Succession Planning and Land Stewardship

  • W.O. Fischer Ranch Fischer, Texas, 78623 United States (map)

How can families keep land intact and thriving for generations? Join the Small Producers Initiative (SPI) and Texas Agricultural Land Trust (TALT) for an on-farm workshop at W.O. Fischer Ranch, where members of the Fischer family have cared for a shared landscape dating back to the 1850s.

SPI will introduce the basics of soil health and regenerative agriculture, including how rotational grazing can build healthy, resilient land. You’ll also hear from TALT about how conservation easements can protect working lands while maintaining private ownership — and from multiple generations of the Fischer family about land ownership, succession, and working together to safeguard their family’s land and history.

Cost is $20 and includes lunch.

Space is limited. Register by November17: https://bit.ly/3TG2gRV
