Hi, y’all! Johanna here from the TX Soil Sisters.

(The podcast media player is below w/ links to things we talk about. Or skip my fluff and listen here.)

Meet our Soil Sister Arlana Brumfield, founder of Soilution Holistic Ag in Dallas, TX, where she is healing her community through regenerative farming. It was fun to reunite and discuss Arlana’s awakening to healthy living.

Crystal and I first met Arlana last year at Regen Ag School hosted by Holistic Management International.

This Soil Sisters podcast explores Arlana's journey from military service to becoming a passionate advocate for regenerative agriculture and holistic health in urban communities. Through personal anecdotes and educational insights, Arlana shares her mission to address nutritional deficiencies and environmental issues affecting BIPOC communities, driven by the alarming rate and rise of diet-related diseases.

Arlana shares her observations and research on those food-related health disparities in the BIPOC community, her love of soil, and her commitment to practicing and teaching holistic agriculture in the urban center of Dallas.

We also dig into the therapeutic benefits of gardening and eating fresh food, the regenerative power of robust soil,  and the critical need for each of us to support the livelihoods of local farmers. The good news is, it's a WIN-WIN! Community involvement can create healthier food ecosystems and a happy, healthy community. This episode will get you excited to support community health and local agriculture. So listen and let's grow!

Happy farming and healthy living, y’all.

Jo (and Crystal) ❤️
